The Scoop
I was commissioned by FeltMedia, a small Philadelphia studio, to lend a hand and do a few comps for the first round of creative as well as help them flesh out a plan of attack for the UX/UI for a redesign of CalYoga.com. The first hurdle was to address an out of control video library. The solution was simple. Serve up the latest video, then direct them to subscribe to the podcast instead.
The design was the second challenge. Being situated near Joshua Tree National Monument in CA, the yoga studio owner really wanted to convey his desert surroundings. My first attempt failed at this as I was going for a more minimal approach. For my second go, I wanted to do a day to night desert theme. Although it worked a little better, and I was happy with the results, the better design won, so here's another few comps for the scrapbook. All in all this was a very positive design and planning exercise though.
