The Scoop
This gem of a project fell into my lap by way of former co-workers Seth Albanese and Svetlana Petrova. In 2010 the couple left Philadelphia in their rear view mirror to pursue a lifestyle of paddling their kayaks by day and coding websites by night from the Orkas Islands, WA. Upon their arrival to ‘The Island’ they befriended the owners of Body Boat Blade (BBB), International, a world class sea kayak coaching facility.
BBB’s web presence was in dire need of an overhaul. Information was scattered about with no real ‘home’ and the look and feel was amateur at best. We were tasked with organizing existing content into a more user friendly flow, and creating a smart new way for the client to generate content through a CMS via Drupal.
My role was to design the overall look and feel of the site by way of a homepage, section landing page, and sub-page. Due to budget restraints I was not able to see this project through completion, but Svetlana stepped up big time and did a great job ironing everything out as the site has been populated along the way of production.
